NORTHWOOD PRIMARY SCHOOL SECURES CORNMILL SPONSORSHIP
Northwood Primary School, part of the Lingfield Education Trust, has secured ongoing sponsorship from Cornmill Shopping Centre.
Kicking off its year-long support of the Pendleton Road-based primary school, The Cornmill has supplied branded tracksuits and t-shirts for pupils representing the school in a wide range of sporting activities.
Sarah Holmshaw, a teaching assistant at Northwood Primary School who initiated the link with the Cornmill Centre, said: “Northwood Primary School has always had a great relationship with The Cornmill. Our student leaders visit the centre every year to find out more about security and CCTV and all of our experiences have been extremely positive, so when the management team offered to sponsor our school, we were delighted.
“We’ve never had branded PE kits before and they really do look fantastic. The kids love them and can’t wait for the next external competitions so they can show them off.”
The Cornmill will look to extend its sponsorship over the course of the year and a partnership with WH Smith which will see all old books donated to the school is already underway.
Kelly Hutchinson, administration manager at Cornmill Shopping Centre, said: “The children from Northwood Primary School have visited the centre on several occasions and have always been extremely well-behaved and enthusiastic. We’re thrilled to be sponsoring the PE kits and we’re proud to be associated with the school.”
