Harewood Primary School, in Thornaby, recently triumphed in our trust’s Spring Times Table Rockstars competition.

As a trust, we know the importance of fact fluency in allowing children to access and enjoy the wide range of problems maths has to offer. Our termly TTRS competitions are one of the many routes we use to develop fact fluency and as such twenty-five schools competed against each other for the overall winner’s trophy with pupils battling it out for gold, silver and bronze medals.

Despite close competition from children at Ingleby Mill Primary and Preston Primary, the three individual winners also came from Harewood. William Dulson, who had the highest average score, took gold with Junior Wood and Rasool Hussain taking silver and bronze.
